Scope
This subcommittee is established to oversee the external oneM2M Marketing and Communications (MARCOM) activities. This may include activities such as media and analyst relations, web site content and promotional material development, event/workshop representation, and educational programs.
Objectives
- Develop the oneM2M MARCOM plan, agreeing desired marketing outputs such as online brochure/ppt, website graphics, promotional materials, advertising, media and analyst relations, educational programs (Webinars), authored articles, etc.
- Review and provide input on the content and relevancy of the MARCOM portions of the oneM2M web site.
- Ensure oneM2M branding is consistent and cohesive.
- Review budget requirements for designated marketing outputs and provide financials to the oneM2M Finance Subcommittee.
- Develop press releases to keep market informed of oneM2M progress. Acts as central point of contact for press/analyst inquiries seeking information related to oneM2M.
- Provide guidance and serve as point of contact in support of workshops and special events at which oneM2M may be represented.
- Recommend and implement processes and tools where appropriate for inbound marketing, market data and contact collection, market segmentation and targeted communications.
- Establish rules and recommendations on the handling of contact data (storage, ownership and usage).
Working Methods
- The Subcommittee should communicate and progress its activities via email.
- Subcommittee meetings should be conducted electronically.
- The Subcommittee shall seek input from, provide guidance to, and report to the Steering Committee.
Composition
- The subcommittee is comprised of representatives of Partners Type 1 and Partners Type 2.
- Representatives of the oneM2M Secretariat SHALL participate in subcommittee meetings.
- The number of official MARCOM Subcommittee members should not exceed 2
persons per Partner.
- The MARCOM Subcommittee members shall select a leadership
team, including a Chair, and two (2) Vice Chairs, with
consideration given to regional representation.
